"I Dig This! Vol.1 Ep. 6 -- REDRUM"

"Redrum is the junior release from DJ SPK. Her sensual touch takes you through a mystical journey of 21 murderously delicious tracks. You'll be mean muggin' and proper head noddin' from start to finish. And for us ladies, there's definitely a hip shaking factor." Read More

Sex Therapy Review

i know im late but i FINALLY got to hear the whole album on my road trip back home, and in my attempt to describe "The Experience" one word comes to mind: BORING!

aside from 2 songs (Sex Therapy & Elevatas), this album is a complete snooze feast. it seemed completely unnatural. i have the same feeling (or lack thereof) in listening to this that i get from hearing "I Invented Sex" by Mr. Songz, and that is to press skip. The last thing most of these songs make me want to do is have sex :/ It just felt like he wanted to do something to shock ppl, and to solidify himself by becoming a sex symbol. the problem is he already accomplish that, and he didnt need all the bells and whistles. His talent speaks for itself, and this was just wack.

idk...maybe if i was 40 or a boring lover i would be turned on by this, but i just felt like it fell so short. i felt like he was going for some sort of Prince thing, and got more of a...perv thing :(

I support Robin becuz he's a quality artist, but this was just a waste of a burned cd. The Evolution of Robin Thicke was classic, not only cuz he has true talent, but mainly becuz it seemed genuine and relatable.*kanye shrug*\

UPDATE

'Born Into Brothels' leads to real-life happy endings for some
By Teresa Wiltz, The Washington Post February 25, 2005

For those who've seen the Oscar-nominated ''Born Into Brothels," the documentary that tracks the children of Calcutta's red light district, the ending lingers long after one has left the cinema: images of sweet-faced kids, wisecracking kids, talented kids, kids faced with not-so-happy endings.

The question persists: What happened next?

Where is Erykah Badu at???

apparently all over the web, son! between my twitter being full of her tweets and RT. She has been the "trending topic" on all the blogs (including mine) and FB.

im so happy for her. both + and - feedback means that she did something right w/ her video. and so far, what i hear from her upcoming album (march 30 i believe) is exactly what i imagine...dopeness and different. I also appreciate that she actually shows her twitter followers personal love. that takes the art to a whole nother level because the ppl can ask ?s and ge better understanding. in addition to just making ppl want to support u even more.

on one end its a shame that she had to be naked to get the attention her msgs deserve. but that says more about us than her. and im sure her intentions was solely for the art and the message so "fuck the world if they cant adjust"! ...sorry had a pac moment.

but neways i had to inform my mother of the success Erykah cont. to have despite the fact that she doesnt get alot of mainstream airplay. [blah to the masses]

ramble, ramble...so on and so forth. im excited.

What is Groupthink? (i wonder how many times that was googled yesterday)

Groupthink, a term coined by social psychologist Irving Janis (1972), occurs when a group makes faulty decisions because group pressures lead to a deterioration of “mental efficiency, reality testing, and moral judgment” (p. 9). Groups affected by groupthink ignore alternatives and tend to take irrational actions that dehumanize other groups. A group is especially vulnerable to groupthink when its members are similar in background, when the group is insulated from outside opinions, and when there are no clear rules for decision making.

Homage of M.I.A. the Great!

loves it!

"In between pwning the internets by posting that MIA track yesterday (above) like one second after she Twitted it, we were on our investigative grind. We emailed MIA’s publicist, who got us the scoop: It’s a protest song against the New York Times, which printed a questionable bit on how Sri Lanka is now the best place to travel in 2010. Peep MIA’s Twitter for the full back story. “Space Odyssey” should be on her forthcoming album, which is set to drop this summer (potentially June). Get pumped.

According to MIA’s publicist:

It is called ‘Space Odyssey” produced by Rusko and M.I.A. The song and video were made Monday night for $100, after the New York Times, as she says: “fucked up so hard.”
Check her tweets – she obviously finds it reckless and ignorant of the paper to not even scratch their own walls on what is reality in Sri Lanka.
