"The morning after is usually a bittersweet time. You’ll find yourself waking up, one eye still closed, looking at pictures from the night before. You’ll probably smile while you shake your head in a half-hearted disbelief. You’ll say something like “oh man” while you slowly exhale and focus in on some inanimate object on the floor next to the bed/couch that you’re lying on. The truth is, the night’s over and you’ve probably got very little to show for it. That’s life. Some people choose to live without regrets, looking at each movement forward, even the missteps, as some kind of learning experience or disposable chunk of time. For others, heads swell with dwellings on lost chances and missed opportunities. There’s no right or wrong way of looking at things. Technically speaking, the glass is both half full and half empty. How you choose to word it isn’t going to change a fucking thing about the cup or its contents. They say that hindsight is 20/20, but I’m not sure I’ve ever woken up the morning after and experienced some great moment of clarity. There are still the what-ifs and the uncertainties. What we can all agree on is The Night Before. It was a good night."

"Actually the full title of this song is “An Echo From the Hosts That Profess Infinitum” –which is not as long “Reaching A New Refutation of Time and Space” but is definitely weirder. In case you don’t get the connection, Shabazz Palaces is the newest project of Ishmael “Butterfly” Butler who first refuted time and space with the Digable Planets (there might be some other people in the group but he won’t say). In some ways the futuristic Palaces sound is a logical progression from the Planets alien conceit, if not their jazz fetish. But just to keep you guessing that conceit is replaced with an alternate-universe version of Islamic/Middle Eastern history, kind of an Afrocentric answer to what Peter Lamborn Wilson did with his Hakim Bey persona. Except Hakim Bey couldn’t rap."
Normarll I would be offended that someone would even have the gaul to attemp a remak/homage to Illmatic. This is the 1st song ive hear off the mixtape and I am not offended at all...excited and intrigued is more of how i feel.
On Friday April 8th, G-Shock & Krink celebrated their recent partnership with a unique exhibition of Craig Costello’s work — “Spray Paint the Walls.” CREEP provided the music for the event.

after hearing that horrid "Lasers" i needed something to put me back in the right place. Between Pusha T's "Fear of God" mixtape and this Pac Div mixtape im right back where i want to be.
Ive always heard good things about Pac Div but i only would get their singles, never a whole piece. Ive been fucking up. Download it if u can.
Pusha's highly anticipated mixtape has finally arrived. The 13-track tape features Kanye West, Ab-Liva, Rick Ross, 50 Cent and R&B singer Kevin Cossom. Also, includes heavy production from Kanye West, the Neptunes, Hit-Boy, Tha Bizness, Nottz and The Inkredibles. Be sure to check it out!
K.R.I.T. may have delayed his upcoming follow-up to K.R.I.T. Wuz Here, but for good reason. While everyone awaits Return of 4 Eva, the XXL Freshman drops a visual for the first single "Dreamin'." The free album drops next Monday.
"I’ve been inspired. I said I’d share when I felt compelled to, and I have.
Check out DJ SPK‘s latest mixtape(s). Yes, that’s two. Lucky us, huh?
I’m seriously vibin’ right now to the compilations on RedRum and [Muse]ck Madness.
“I Love the Party Life” is one of my fave tracks on [Muse]ck Madness. I never thought Jay-Z and Maxwell could mash so well, but she does it. Smooth to say the least.
The sound on RedRum is completely different. Hip-hop tracks dominate, and the chill factor is still in full effect. Check the transition between “Wavin the Magnum” and “Giant”.
