Sorry 4 The Wait (review)

so i'm listening to this to see if its even worth downloading. and 2 songs in, I dont think so. Kinda reminds me of that Young Money album or Dedication 3...basically a bunch of throw away songs. I would imagine when you make a mixtape as a precursor for your real album it should make ppl further anticipate your work. This is the antithesis of that. A bunch of beats we've heard before. A bunch of flows we've heard before. And pretty much the same punchlines that we've heard before. I do appreciate the Kreayshawn song, but thats mainly cuz i like the actual song (downloading her mixtape as we speak). I also dig his Marvin's Room. Which, coincidentally, is the one and only version of it that I've heard. (why does the beat kinda sound like 3 other Drake songs, btw?)

Its not even like the mixtape is bad. It's just underwhelming. Like...im convinced that he just doesnt care anymore. And I guess thats cool for him, but for fans (esp. paying ones) I feel like we deserve a little more effort. and stop fucking repeating shit! "taz push the album back" blah blah blah. if thats all you wanted to say then you shoulda just did a press release. its really not that deep. It's just boring at this point. I rather hear him playing 3 guitar cords, humming and shit. At least he was trying then.

but whatever.
