Last night I watched a wonderful film called "El Norte". It is a wonderfully done (mostly Spanish) film about a brother and sister who are escaping from Guatemala to America after their village and family is slaughtered by the rebels. It was beautiful, sad, intense, and "real". It gave a wonderful depiction of what our brothers and sisters from the south are going through. the crazy thing is the movie was produced in 1983. I felt like this was soooo relevant for today. But its probably 20x worse today.
Love thy neighbor.
