Echoes of Kubrick

2001: Echoes from Zalán Reiter on Vimeo.

"The late Stanley Kubrick was one of the most influential film directors of our time. His credits include A Clockwork Orange, Spartacus, Dr. Strangelove, and my all-time favorite horror movie, The Shining. One of my favorite synchronizations of film with music is this piece which takes the last chapter of 2001: A Space Odyssey by Kubrick and puts it to the song Echoes by Pink Floyd. Titled “Jupiter, And Beyond the Infinite”, this is an amazing video to watch."

s/b:
"Similarly, in 1973 a film by surfer-dude George Greenough features the last 23 minutes of the film set to the same song, Echoes by Pink Floyd. In this piece the film’s director mounted a camera in a waterproof casing to Greenough’s back to capture images of him surfing off of the California coast. Both videos are visual masterpieces."

i kinda dig this one more...

I definitely liked 2001: Echoes more but it's better in the actual movie.
