Your Black is Beautiful

"What is beauty? who determines what attractive looks like? these are questions that have plagued society (primarily women) for ages. For as long as I could remember being considered beautiful held almost as much importance as breathing. Some may say that is an exaggeration but given all the things women do to be considered beautiful I would say that it’s an understatement. Women of all racial backgrounds go to the most ridiculous lengths to meet a standard of beauty that is virtually unattainable. Growing up being pretty was at the forefront of everything, the pretty girls got all the attention the pretty girls appeared to have the most fun…this has not changed and if anything it has gotten worse.
